Breckenridge Snow Ski Rental

Bob the Ski Bum is here to tell you about some cool deals on Breckenridge snow ski rental. Honestly though, to be quite candid, I remember the first few times I sunk a pair of skis in the snow. I didn't own my own equipment so I had to pay a few "fix-it guy" bucks for renting it (I worked as a handy man after dropping out of college to hone my knack for skiing). Well, of course, after a while I literally fell in love with the sport (not without a few bumps and bruises to the bum and elsewhere). It wasn't long before I saved enough money to buy my own cutting edge skies, boots and poles.

Breckenridge snow ski rental equipmentSo before you spent tons of money renting for a week's vacation for the whole family, you might consider "investing" that will save you time and money in the long run. Imagine being able to just park your car, throw your boots and skis on and hit those pristine feather powder slopes without the hassles of getting you or your family outfitted in a Breckenridge snow ski rental package first, and each time having to adjust to new and different equipment.

I understand if you need to rent now, though, I've "been there done that" if you know what I mean. The benefits of course to renting is, well, you never know if you're going to become a ski bum like myself and do it often enough to justify the investment. You never know if your kids are going to do more wining than wooing the white weather terrain in all its chilly and sometimes risky conditions. Maybe that's where taking a few ski lessons along with your Breckenridge snow ski rental package and being ultra prepared for possible sub-zero weather might be a consideration.

I have put together for you some general information about snow ski rental prices at the area sport shops, and how they compare with the ski resort prices.

ski rentals BreckenridgeA note about Breckenridge snow ski rental: as you probably thought, it costs less to rent with the area shops than at the actual ski resort. For that reason I've included below a list of area shops to choose from. I've researched rental rates on a few of the shops and have listed them below so you can get a feel for them, however for the sake of time and space I have not included them all. I suggest checking around and comparing prices at all the shops.

A heads up about shopping around for boots, skis and poles rental. If you're a novice at this, which every skier is at some point (yes, even Bob the ski bum was) you will find that most shops offer three or more packages to suit your level of ability from basic to performance to demo. So it might get a little confusing about which package you need. Beginners will likely opt for a basic package, the more experienced to the expert in us all (who just happens to forget their skies) will likely opt for a better package, which will includes more state-of-the-art, updated wares. Obviously, the more basic the package, the cheaper the price.
